Devices along the ADB bus identify themselves via codes.  The IIGS has
built in drivers that recognize the codes for standard and extended
keyboards.  Unfortunately, the Adjustable keyboard uses a different
code.

When the IIGS lacks a hardware driver for devices on the ADB bus,
GS/OS looks for one installed in the drivers folder (software based
driver).  If someone were to write one for the Adjustable keyboard, it
will work fine.  However, that keyboard was so short lived that nobody
bothered to write a IIGS driver for it.
