Yes-- should have qualified the DD-only remark for 5.25" drives. 3.5" HD
diskettes will, usually, format and seem to work on a standard IIgs Apple 3.5"
drive and, evidently, 3.5" UniDisk.

Something to be concerned about is the measurable difference in magnetic
properties of HD and DD 3.5" media. Any R/W system optimized for DD will be
pretty far from optimal for HD. HD 3.5" diskettes should be more likely than DD
diskettes to 'forget' information written by a 3.5" UniDisk or IIgs Apple 3.5"
drive.
