I didn't see the original post so I grabbed this quote from Rubywand's
reply.

I wrote a program selector that runs under BASIC.SYSTEM in ProDOS that
will do what you ask.  It is called, oddly enough, Selector v1.0.  I
know it is available on one or two FTP sites at present but I can
e-mail it to you if you would prefer.  I have yet to set up my own
Apple II web site to make my software available.

My program gives you the ability to move around disks and directories
and displays all files in those directories.  You can rename, lock,
unlock, delete and run files.

The only real reason I finish the program into a useable program like
this is that I added a feature that I added for my own use and someone
here, several years ago, needed that feature.  This feature is the
ability to disable ProDOS' memory protection of the text screen
memory.  This allows you to copy some DOS 3.3 programs onto a ProDOS
disk and be able to run them with my selector.

I wrote an article about why some of the DOS 3.3 programs need to have
the memory protection disabled in the Spring 1996 issue of II Alive.
