Well, having both a IIGS and a (non-Intel) Windows PC, here is
what I've observed.  The IIGS interface is FANTASTIC in ease
of use.  I've had the IIGS since back when Windows was at 3.1
and System 6 & GS/OS  was so much better than Win 3.1 in terms of
interface that it was not funny.  Windows improved a lot with Win 95,
though.  After getting used to it, I find it as easy to use as the IIGS,
EXCEPT when there is some kind of conflict or (God forbid) a
problem with the Registry!  In terms of the interface, Windows 95
is pretty good.  BUT, Windows 98 takes a turn for the worse.  In
Microsoft's bone-headed stubborness to integrate Intenet Explorer
into Windows 98, you use the web browser to do everything.
That's kind of stupid in my opinion.  If this is what you dislike, there
is a program out there that will take Internet Explorer out of
Windows 98.  I forgot what the name is, though, but I'm sure a web
search will help you find out.

I wouldn't even want to use Netscape to navigate my computer's
desktop and drives, let alone Internet Explorer.  It is just plain
illogical to use a WEB BROWSER to browse your own computer.
