Two.  Actually, Apple shed the wierd bracket "][" since the
II+.  Throughout the '80s and '90s, it was to be Apple II,
not Apple ][.  Roman numeral II was clearly "two" unlike
the earlier "][" symbol.  Personally, I think II looks elegant
and "][" looks ugly.

I wince a little every time I see someone refer to Apple II as
Apple ][.
