Re: Apple II FAQs CD-ROM

Unfortunately, as I expected Joko made this prompt, rather paranoid and
slightly hateful reply to my simple and polite post and endorsement, concerning
his CD offerings to the Apple II and IIgs users - noted in quotes below - with
my reply and answers also noted below - after each part of his quoted post
thread response;

"The TABBS CD-ROM is available exlusively from Shareware Solutions II.
Ewen Wannop, the person who put together the CD-ROM claims a
Compilation Copyright."

And I reply, yes Joe...I'm fully aware of that fact, I never claimed otherwise
in any respect -> :)

"Since you did not purchase the TABBS CD-ROM from the only place that
is authorized and licensed by the copyright holder to distribute the
TABBS CD-ROM, would you care to explain how you came into possession
of that CD-ROM?"

Certain, it was given to me as a gift from a friend. It is an original TABBS
CD-ROM (and not a copy BTW) and was sold by YOU to my friend that gave it to me
as a gift. Is there anything wrong or illegal about that?

"The above is a theoretical question to which an answer is not
required. IOW, the more things change, the more they stay the same;
or, once a thief, always a thief."

Indeed, you have your answer Joe. So, perhaps now you'd be good enough to give
a clear explaination to the public of and about your comments above
concerning: "...IOW, the more things change, the more they stay the same; or,
once a thief, always a thief."

"In any case, thanks for the reminder that it's time to update my kill file."

You're welcome. Do what you wish or whatever. Update your kill file then, if
that's your way of disconnecting from me, go for it. But, I have no intention
of contacting you via email or in person and don't expect me to become engaged
in any sort of a flamewar or any sort of arguementive thread with you or
anybody else on this newsgroup, because I won't.

Cheers, Peace & Best Wishes,
Tom
