Can you draw?
If you can draw (even if you can't) and you want to have your name in
the credits of a soon to be released Apple II game......
I have a shoot-em-up game just about %100 finished. You shoot at anything
that moves on the screen, while avoiding being shot. It should work on
a IIe, IIc, IIgs.....You might want an accelerator, I am not sure. I have
a level editor completed.
Use a paint program in HI RES (HGR) mode to create graphics... If you
want them to be animated, you should draw each frame of the animation or
include an note explaining 'how you want your graphic to move'
The graphics should be small in size (use MAGNIFY, or "fatbits")...My
graphics have been about 20Wide by 40 Tall) I have been using MousePaint
because it is on my hard drive and I've been too lazy to search through my
disks for a better program. While were on the subject, what is a good
paint program, HD installable (prodos), does '8bit' hires, Good Magnify,
"cut",copy,paste, LASSO features?
People are good graphics, animals, cars, airplanes, helicopters, rockets,
birds, dogs, cats, robots, ....Just about anything. If it flies, runs,
walks, crawls and can die or blow up, I will accept 'reasonably well drawn'
graphics.
I actually have plenty of graphics made up, but I am giving YOU a chance
to do your 'mona lisa' and be famouse in the Apple II wourld. You could
even 'cut' the graphics out of another game....How about the main character
from Aztec? A mario character would be neat.
I would also be interested in Full page HiRes (HGR2) graphics for use as
level backgrounds. I really need to include a screenshot of the game
with this message, don't I?
There will be a 'demo' release, I'll take out a bunch of the game so you can
see it with limited levels and features. I'll include the level editor sou
you can make levels for other people to play.
At the 'end' of the game, when you've passed all of the levels, the
credits will scroll on the screen, explaining who programmed, and who
graphic'ed the game.
I am not going to deal with figureing out how to upload graphics here on
the newsgroup. If you will upload Screenshots of the game, give me an
email and I'll email the shots back to you.
You can email me graphics at the address below..
