If you are using ProTerm, are you using ZModem to transfer in text or
binary mode?  If you are transferring it text mode then ProTerm is
probably zapping all the line feeds (decimal 10, hex $0A) when it is
downloading the file.

Make sure ZModem is set to transfer in binary mode and you should be
okay.

Just something else to think about or try.
