Apple // peripheral cards
Could anyone please provide more information on the following Apple //
interface cards.
1. Apple computer ROM CARD (C) 1978 (Has about six socketed ROM chips
in parallel with a switch at the far side of the cardl).
I suspect this card is used in a ][ or ][+ machine? (I never used a
][/][+ machine - only a //e).
2. DIGITEK serial interface DK 244 (Blue PCB with serial interface
socket). Looks like a high-speed serial interface card for connecting
a serial printer or modem.
Anything special about it compared with the SSC?.
3. Grappler+ Printer interface (Blue/Green PCB with 26-pin interface).
Looks like a serial/parallel printer interface card with a larger
buffer?.
Also has 4 DIP switch settings on the far side. Is this some kind of
buffered printer interface card ?.
.
Also, has anyone had any troubles getting a MS softcard (or softcard
clone) working in either a ROM01 or ROM03 GS?. I can't get my
softcard to work at all in either GS system even after dropping the
clock speed down to 1MHz. I have the card setup as a chosen device in
both GS machines and I'm using the appropriate Apple CP/M system
software on 5.25" media.
