In the earlier days Apple had //e to IIGS upgrade kits. It included a ROM 01
motherboard with connectors for the keyboard, numeric keypad, and the power
supply. I think it also included a metal shielding and an Apple IIGS sticker for the //e
case. However most ROM 01 motherboards don't have the connectors, but still have
the solder points for the connectors. I don't see any reason why you couldn't still
do this and solder on the proper connectors, but with GSs as cheap as they are
why not just buy the whole thing?
