The basic history is as follows:

I started with ideas for a ROM based card that would load a game or multiple
games back in September. Through the advice of people on this newsgroup I
decided make it a ProDOS compatible drive. The first prototype was built in
October/November and I had it working with pretty poor reliability in
November/December. From there I learned about PCB design from messing
around with various programs. After procrastinating a while, I finally
looked at the design again a couple days ago and then came up with a new
plan in a couple hours. It took about 2 ~ 3 hours to build a new prototype
and another 2 hours to get it working (one chip in backwards, two gates as
ANDs instead of NANDs and a one line program change to the firmware). I'll
draw up a new PCB next week and hopefully order a small run of the cards
soon after that. I'm also lacking 27C040 EPROM's so I'll have to order some
of those. It seems that none of the stores around here have large 8-bit
EPROM's, they're all 16 bit ones.
