Re: //e power supply
Having a Bugg Power Supply means never having to say that you're sorry.
I had problems about a year and a half ago when I first installed a Focus
Drive. I upgraded to high power, 80 watt, power supply which worked for a
while, then peterred out.
I tried the external Bugg Power Supply and haven't had a problem since. Yes,
the idea of having a power supply on the floor seemed to attack the aesthetics
of the classic IIe, but once it's on the floor with the cable running down the
back like the power cord, it became no problem at all to live with.
A nice plus has actually been all of the space available inside the unit with
the old transformer gone. It's actually a great place to place those extra
cards with cables still attached to the back of the computer until you need to
exchange them with what you currently need. I love the Apple IIe, but "slot
poor" does describe it on many occasions.
