Re: apple III drives on IIe?/no with // drive/cntrl/card it works!

you can
t run /// drives on a
apple // e, +, or gs..but....

the older beige controller card on a apple // floppy drive (inside drive
itself)
CAN be used to replace the controller card in an apple /// drive unit....it
just
snaps in the same way and out the same way...i just did it for jollies cause
i always liked the old style rounded/aluminum case on the apple /// ext
floppy
drive...so you walk by my rom 1 apple gs upgrade kit (in // e case) and see
it
has an apple /// floppy drive on it...and people really get
confused...anyway
good for a laugh if you have a lot of reg // cases and want to jazz things
up..

p.s. the above gs system is still up running 80's bbs pkg (fv/metal) and
another
gs is also up running (tpro RPG bbs)....both are accessable for free via
telnet
or my www site (using a good term prog like netterm for example to get color
etc)

it is on the main menu of the bbs under ap2/fv and ap2/tpro ...just telnet
in and look
around also have a free tw2002 and other games on the site..what the heck
they make
neat doors and better then sitting around in a closet since 1984 or so..
