Agreed.
There is a very easy 'test' for comparing the benefits of a //c--->IIc+ move
vs. a GS ROM-01--->GS ROM 3 move:
A. How many //c users would accept a no-cost swap to a IIc+ ?
B. How many IIgs ROM-01 users would accept a no-cost swap to a IIgs ROM 3 ?
You are going to find a _lot_ more users going for the 'A' swap than for the
'B' swap.
In the //c vs. IIc+ case you are talking about a huge performance gain in
moving to the IIc+.
In moving to a ROM 3, the ROM-01 user gets, mainly, a bit of extra memory
_and_ some serious compatibility problems with old software. Since hardly anyone
needs the extra memory, the main "benefit" the former ROM-01 user will notice is
that a number of favorite oldies no longer run on his/her ROM 3.
