I just got around to downloading WordPerfect GS last week-end and got it
to my GS satisfactorily.  What a pleasant surprise.  I don't really NEED
it; did it just for the fun of it, but WOW, I wish I had had it
available YEARS ago!  It's really neat.

I don't seem to have any of the problems you report, though.
Perhaps "Closeview" is the problem.
