     There is a converter cable for connecting 3.5" IDE drives to controllers
with 2.5" IDE connectors. So; evidently, you can use a 3.5" drive. On the other
hand, you would have to put the bulky 3.5" drive somewhere; and, the cable I
saw advertised in Computer Shopper was priced around $20. You can get fairly
large 2.5" IDE drive modules for around $50.
