Hi Diz, the lack of video display speed (menus popping down, etc.)
can be due to the caching of the IIc+ back and forth from the 8k
static RAM cache. The IIGS does not have to do this, so it is faster
(for video). The IIc+ speed comes in internal computations using
the data already in the 8k cache.
One way to confirm the IIc+ high speed is a simple BASIC program.
10 ? "Start"
20 FOR I=1 to 10000
30 NEXT I
40 ? "Stop"
Run this program in both the high and normal IIc+ speeds and use
a stopwatch to time how long it takes from Start to Stop in both speeds.
The high IIc+ speed should beat the normal IIc+ speed by a lot.
Good luck!
