Yup.  It is the most advanced OS for 8-bit Apple II units.  The GEOS
file system is an extended ProDOS.  However, only the files that
GEOS programs themselves create are really unique.  The GEOS
file manager "Finder" can manipulate regular ProDOS files too,
copying them, deleting them, etc., and this does not damage the
ability of ProDOS programs to later read the files.  As long as you
do not rename them and add spaces in the file name, all will be fine,
otherwise you'd need the NameFix program from 2qwk! to access
the files from ProDOS (because regular ProDOS does not like
spaces).
