I suppose that is true but then, I think that it was designed to part

It may prevent component theft but then again, it is much easier to
steal the whole machine. :-)

Except that you already said it was a network computer which means you
can network it to a different machine to pirate software off of it. I
mean, really. I someone wants a program off the iMac bad enough, they
will get it. Besides, to load the program onto the iMac in the first
place, the software has to come on some kind of media, so why not just
make a pirated copy of that. :-)
