That's right. LC type boxes have one type, the IIfx has another, IIsi's
and SE/30s have yet another, and '040s have their own too. In addition
to the PDS which is tailored to each model and presents the best way to
attach hardware to that model, the higher end boxes have a machine and
processor independent expansion slot type, namely nubus. I guess with
the advent of PCI in addition to attempts at streamlining the product
line, the PDS setup went by the wayside.
