     Most likely, something like that is the case. A DOS 3.3 program may offer
a selection of printers for which it has control codes but you are not likely
to find anything for an hp Laserjet.

     Some DOS programs allow 'configuring a new printer'. If TS does this you
could enter the desired Laserjet control codes (for graphics, fonts, or
whatever).

     A possible workaround is to find the part of the program or the file which
has the printer control codes and substitute your hp codes.

     One way to experiment is writing a short BASIC program which, say, does a
PR#1 and PRINTs the codes to set up font, spacing, etc. and, then, prints some
text.

     Another option is to save any graphics stuff as files, convert hires
graphics to GS super-res using the 816 Paint Utilities, touch up/re-size the
result via Platinum Paint, and print out from Platinum Paint via a driver
suited to hp Laserjet.
