If that is correct, it must mean that the driver simply sends a
QuickDraw PICT (picture commands, as used in a PICT resource or file)
straight to the printer. I think that has been documented.
By comparison, ImageWriters expect bitmap raster graphics data from the
computer.
Note that QuickDraw II (for the IIgs) also has PICT data, but it is not
compatible with the Mac QuickDraw version. Translation may be possible,
but would be difficult to say the least.
