     Regarding the directions for making a converter, it just occurred
to me that your Wingman Extreme may be one of those sticks which uses
one or more IC's to handle rapid firing, etc.. If so, the converter may
not work correctly without modification.

     One way to find out is to open the stick. If it has just pots (or
some similar resistance elements) and switches, fine. If there is an IC
or two and other active components-- like, maybe a 555 timer and a
couple transistors-- you may need to either modify the stick circuit to
work with the converter or change the converter.

     Be sure to post what you discover.
