Apple II GS y2k crash?

A teacher friend owns an Apple II GS approx. 9 years old. He asked me
if his computer would crash in the year 2000. He was told by someone
that it would. I'm not Apple literate - I'm a Tandem mainframe pgm'r
and somewhat IBM PC literate. I'm assuming that if true, it might be a
BIOS problem but I really have no answer for him. Can anyone shed any
light on this question for me and my friend? Thanks.
