I received an email containing the following:: "current copyright law states
that any out-of-production game with a copyright older than 2 years, I believe,
becomes public domain--or so I was told." You can check this for accuracy by
reviewing the Copyright Information Act of 1995. Look it up! You'll be
astounded. If this proves to be accurate, Wille Yeo is going to have a lot of
entries to make in his web site. reclassification project, that I stimulated
him into the development and creation of in the past.
Just think of the multitude of such games that exist for the Apple II
models. Sometimes the government does seem to work for the needs of the masses
after all. And, it looks like some of the Apple II ftp sites like Asimov and
ACN just might have more public domain titles than they realize they have.
Any comments on this?
Cheers,
Tom
