The Apple card maxes out at 1MB.  Although you may be able
to slog along at that setting, in order to use the best software or
to print out a document on a DeskJet or other hires printer, you
need at least 4MB (at least when using a program like AWGS).

Instead of wasting money on the chips, get a Sirius 0-8MB
memory card from http://www.allelec.com/ Alltech Electronics
and then populate it with cheap to find 1MB 30 pin SIMMs.
These are so cheap, you can go the full 8MB!
