 The Learning Company does own all of the MECC Apple II software titles now, as
well as
those from Broderbund and their own Apple II titles.  That's a vast amount of
Apple II program titles to consider.  I've contacted the powers-that-be at The
Learning Company to ask and discuss
the possibilitiy of their reclassifying all of their currently owned Apple II
programs as either shareware or freeware.  So far - I've received no positive
reply on this.  I'll keep at it and hopefully they may see the logic of doing
such a reclassification and act in a positive way.  Time will tell!
