Get a Macintosh to StyleWriter series printer cable instead if you
want direct connect-ability. Run the cable between the IIGS printer
port and the LaserWriter II. Then install the LaserWriter driver.
Finally, select the LaserWriter driver in the direct connect control
panel. Good luck!
Remember, the LaserWriters are not AppleTalk only printers.
They can be used as serial printers. Indeed, this is the ONLY
way to use them on a Windows PC and you know what, to
Windows, a LaserWriter is just like any other PostScript serial
printer!
