Another factor to consider aside from higher production costs 
is the very slow sales volumn. Make up a batch of PCI video 
cards and you may be shipping them to dealers within a few days. 
Make up a batch of Second Sight cards and they may be there for 
years. I believe I bought mine in spring of 97 and all the parts 
on it are 1995 or earlier. I have #4166 our user group has #3051 
and it's identical and I think about a year older.
Would anyone happen to know how many runs there's been since 1995, 
one, two??
