ZipGS and Appletalk questions

I have a couple questions about the ZipGS.

First, hardware: Rom1 IIeGS (GS conversion in IIe case), 4Meg RamGS,
ZipGS 8/64, Apple HS SCSI (no DMA), SuperDrive controller ...
and Appletalk _active_ connected to Appleshare 3.0.3 server and Appletalk
LaserWriter 12/640, LaserWriter NT, and Appletalk Imagewriters.

System 6.0.1: I have the following inits in my System.setup folder.
ZipGS.resetter (I used to boot off server and needed this to turn off
                   ZipGS if it was active)
  Zipinit

  Ziptalk

Also the ZipGS Control CDA and CDEV's in the System files.

Q1: Should I replace Ziptalk with Zipfix v1.0?

Q2: In the ZipGS Control CDA, does On/Off in the Misc. settings mean
the same as On/Off mean for the switch1 and sw2 dip switches.
IE: Sw1-3 Appletalk Delay ON does this mean delay is enabled or
disabled? Should the CDA also say Appletalk Delay On (the default
is Off). I've tried both ways and can't see if one is better than
the other judging from dropped chars in PT3.1 (19200 baud direct
serial (null modem RTS/CTS) connection to HP workstation. [Turning
Appletalk off completely does fix the drop char problem but then I
lose my printers and server :-) Also, the dropped chars are very few
and show up mainly as packet errors during zmodem transfers. I've
tried a PT3.1 "patch" released a couple years ago to fix hardware
handshaking problems with appletalk, but all it ever does is to
cause the Appletalk servers to become disconnected after a couple
minutes - not exactly the "fix" for PT3.1 I was looking for :-)]

Sorry Q2 seemed to ramble and have many sub-Q?'s. I'm mainly interested
in Q1 for ZipGS and Appletalk, and Q2 how dipsw On/Off relate
to the CDA On/Off settings.

Many thanks to previous csa2 posts by David Empson and Todd Whitesel. Their
posts are clear and definitive. I'm just a tad confused on implementation
of their posts.

Thanks for any feedback and comments.
