Now that devices with real high-resolution displays are available (the
iPhone 4 for instance has a 326ppi display) we may soon be able to buy
or construct a custom Apple II NTSC decoder that produces the Apple
graphics faithfully.

At that resolution, you can simulate NTSC colour burst and tradition
CRT scanlining to fool most eyes, and soon the eyes young enough to
spot the difference will be too young to have seen the original
output ;-)
