And I reply: Yes, it was a port for GNO/ME done by Baber and did require from
6.5 to 8 MB of RAM to work. An updated recompiled version as a GS/OS desktop
application was done by a past 1WSW team member,
Ross Falconer. They both worked fairly well with the Mac PPC IIgs emulator
that will allow up to 16 MB's of RAM for use with such
applications. See one of the renderings that was just released to public
domain and public download - access on Ground as a 256 color gif, which can be
found in the Jan99 folder.
I'd guess that with some additional optimization of the code and the RAM
requirments reduced a MB or more, it might even function properly on a real
IIgs with 8MB's of RAM. Anybody care to give it a try?
