I wouldn't expect it to be much better.  You would have to disconnect
the ColorSwitch and connect the CGA monitor directly to the PC
Transporter (via yet another adaptor cable - this is one I don't have,
and don't know the pinout for).

Also note that the CGA monitor would only be useful for displaying PC
Transporter video output - normal Apple II video wouldn't be visible on
it.

No, and neither can "EGA".  VGA and SVGA are much more recent standards
using analog RGB with higher scan frequencies.  CGA is digital RGB using
TV-like scan frequencies, limited to 16 colours.  EGA is half way
between - digital RGB, more lines (hence higher frequencies) and more
colours than CGA.
