Re: Can IIGS use this CD-

 Toasterking chanted almost zenlike:

T<| o Is it possible to use an "AppleCD 300 Plus" internal CD-ROM
   | drive (came from a Macintosh) with a ROM 3 Apple IIGS with an
   | Apple II High-Speed SCSI card (Rev. C)?

If the drive is SCSI, it will work. Or to some degree. :)

T<| o Can I use the drivers provided on the System 6.0.1 Install disk
   | to operate this drive?

Yes. And if the CD150 driver provided doesn't work, Sequential had
(past tense) been offering other drivers specific to the Apple card.

T<| o Can I use the CD Remote desk accessory with this drive?

If you're using the Apple card, yes. Program no workie with a RamFast.
But contrast, there are more audio drivers available for drives avail-
able for the RamFast than the Apple cards, though according to a chart
on Sequential's site most old CDROMs can be made to play disks.
