Patches for PCTransporter comm port?

Back when the IIGS was my main machine, and we used PCTransporters to
run IBM stuff, there were problems getting PC comm programs  to
successfully find the external modem hooked to the IIGS modem port, due
to some sort of (over)sampling of that port by the PCTransporter. 
Eventually, someone found a way to fix this by either patching the
Transporter software, or using a different modem driver for the
transporter card.  Does anyone still have, or know where I can find,
that information?    Thanks in advance.
