You won't run into too many jpeg files on the net that are 10k and
even if you do, you won't run into many web pages that only have one
image on them. If you have 10 of those 10k jpegs on a page that means
it will take 150 seconds or 2 minutes and 30 seconds just to convert
the images to something the IIgs can display.
This is also just to get the images displayed. Add to that the time
it takes to actually transfer the 100k of jpegs as well as the text of
the HTML file and the time it takes to convert the HTML code into
something displayable on the IIgs you are talking around 5 minutes
minimum for a very simple web page. Longer for more complex pages,
more images or larger images.
I won't say that it won't ever happen but getting a decently priced
math coprocessor and a decent graphics card would definitely help make
this sort of thing a reality.
