You get this on power-up on a IIgs that was working fine not so long ago?
I got the same thing today. Of course, when my IIgs goes belly-up, I'm on
my own as it is the only machine I have with a modem.. 8-(
Anyway, the fix was to remove and reseat my memory card. I have a CV Tech
4Mb RAM card with a 1Mb Apple card piggy-backed onto it. The easy way to
check this out is to pull the RAM card and power up. If the machine
powers up OK, then try reinstalling the memory card. If you have a
piggyback setup like mine, try each card by itself. If both cards work
OK, hook them back together, verify good connection to the piggyback
pocket, and try again. After a lot of wiggling, my machine came back to life.
Also, don't forget to check your other cards! In my case it happened to
be the memory board...but the obvious thing to do with a machine that
won't power up is to bump all the boards and start adding them back in
until the machine works.
