I've always had an enhanced Apple IIe since it came that way when I
got it back in 1986. For years I never really knew what this meant
other than I had a cool little sticker that said 'enhanced' over the
power light. However now I've come to realize that the enhanced IIe
actually has some disadvantages over it's unenhanced siblings as some
games don't work because of the upgraded 6502 chip.
What I want to know is: Is there any reason to 'unenhance' my IIe?
Have all the non-working games been patched by now?
Are there any reasons to keep the enhancement upgrade? I've never
seen a game that requires it, and to the best of my knowledge only
certain business apps and copy programs made use of it.
