As a postscript to the already wonderful message someone posted, you
should know that ProDOS itself does not contain the code to format a disk;
that must be done through a ProDOS disk formatting utility such as "System
Utilities" or Copy2Plus and so on. On the original ProDOS "Users Disk"
there is a rather ugly program to do this that I forget the name of.
