Re: What's up on the A2 forum of Delphi access???
sheldon@atlcom.net replied: "Delphi A2 is ASCII accessible. True, you do have
to lay out the ungodly sum of $35 per year for unlimited telnet access to
Delphi, but I think it's worth it."
And I reply: I DO NOT and NEVER HAVE used Telnet to access A2 Delphi. I use
either Netscape via my grin.net ISP acct. or I use the AOL Browser via my AOL
cturley2 acct. - using a Mac PPC. I've never access Delphi with an Apple II
model of any type. So, what your saying then is that the free acct. on Delphi
A2 is no longer valid or of useful function for any form of access and for me
to use Delphi A2 in any capacity now - I must first pay the $35 per year to
access Delphi A2 -(which I DO NOT consider to be an ungodly fee) is that
correct? The $35 is not the issue with me. The complexity and hassle of slow
access or no access now at all is the issue, that nobody has bothered to even
comment on yet!
I have my original Delphi free acct. that I set up myself, early this year in
the name: cturley <-and -> I also seem to have another (bogus) A2 Delphi free
acct. that somebody else (other than me) set up in the name: DRTOMTURLEY, using
my AOL cturley2@aol.com email address for reply to that 'BOGUS' A2 Delphi acct.
I only tried using it one time - to test for access to the A2 Delphi forum in
any way and had no results with any successful access and had no success with
any form of access to the A2 Delphi forum in any area.
BTW, if anybody else cares to give it a try the A2 Delphi staff emailed me at
my AOL cturley2 email address - on the DR.TOMTURLEY 'BOGUS' A2 Delphi free
acct. (the one that somebody else set up - other than me) that the logon was:
DRTOMTURLEY and the password was :faggot. Nice password to have assigned EH?
Like I outlined clearly with the original post on all of this (see the FIRST
post, this thread has been generated from) neither of these free acct.'s
the original and REAL A2 Delphi: cturley or the BOGUS acct. DRTOMTURLEY
can be used for any sort of free access to any part or area of A2 Delphi
forum by me in any manner now.
Thus, after requesting that the BOGUS acct. be investigated as to just who had
the GALL to set it up as such and requesting that it be canceled as a bogus
acct. not done my me, (with no reply or results in a cancel of it - after
half-a-dozen email request to the A2 Delphi staff) I now have
no possible way to access any part of A2 Delphi forum, until I receive this
LAME 'group access code' - which I've asked to have assigned many, many times
with no response to those many request.
Richard Bennett posted that perhaps its a conspiracy. I replied that he most
likely was correct. So, having no way to access A2 Delphi and being banned
from any form of access to A2 Delphi with my free A2 Delphi acct. of: cturley
(the only nameed acct. I regularly have always used) I'm inclined to work with
others in coordinating the set up of an alternative Apple II Delphi forum -
that DOES NOT have such problems to deal with for free access to it, etc. and
so on..
I originally ask for A2 Delphi staff members to reply to my problem as first
stated in my original post I made on this subject. Unless Richard Bennett is
an official A2 Delphi staff member now, replying in such capacity - I still see
no staff member reply concerning the access problem that I outlined in my
original post on the matters.
Several A2 users (including Bev) have expressed an interest in setting up such
an alternative Apple II Delphi forum and working on it as staff members. So
,who else is interested in working on such as a staff member of an alternative
Apple II Delphi forum, for free and/or pay access without the sarcasm, flames,
bad attitudes, so-called ;) conspiracy's and the other LAME stuff I and
several other A2 users seem to have been dealing with from the A2 Delphi forum,
in the past and also lately?
All comments are welcome. Just don't try to start a flame war on this subject.
I won't respond to such attempts. Give some logical and sane, straight
comments and answers on the original problem I asked about or your polite and
logical reply on help with setting up an alternative to the A2 Delphi forum
with another Apple II Delphi forum for all A2 user needs, that doesn't have the
many problems - both myself and several others have experienced with the
current A2 Delphi forum, access and use, etc.
Cheers,
Tom
