I'll defer to the real experts on the technical details.  The CPU should
work, but I know the //c ROM is different from the //e ROM.  Doesn't
necessarily mean it won't work, but I am pretty sure the differences go
beyond changing the startup splash screen from "Apple ][" to "Apple //c".

For one thing, a //e running a //c ROM might not have fully-functional
cassette ports.  For another, there might be problems with the slot
address space, though I am not certain of that.

Of course, the thing I immediately thought of is that with the //c video
ROM, you won't get the Running Man... 8-)
