Nope, Electronic Arts' "One on One" happens to be one of the
few 8-bit titles that are incompatible with the IIgs. I made up
a list of incompatible IIgs software titles about a decade ago
(not complete, only things I happened to come across) and having
just dug it up, here is what I jotted down:
- Logo - Minit Man
- Karateka - Serpentine
- Hardball - Ultima III
- Drole - Randamn
- Lode Runner - PFS Filer
- One on One - Crossword Magic 4.0
- Gato
In retrospect, I now know some of those incompatibilities
are not Apple IIgs specific. For example, the original Logo
crashes if run on any CMOS (65Cxxx) version of the 6502 CPU.
Karateka and Drole are hardcoded to run from a Disk II card
plugged into a slot, and don't like the Smartport on the IIc
and IIgs. There may be similar issues with the others above.
