Re: Printer compatibility

For DeskJet owners, here's how to set up a high-class DeskJet printer in
AppleWorks 3.0 at absolutely no cost to you. This assumes that you also own
AppleWorks 4 or AppleWorks 5. It's very simple, and after we're done you'll be
slapping your forehead and saying "Wow! I didn't know you could do that!"

1. In your AppleWorks 3.0 setup, rename SEG.PR to SEG.PR.Old.
2. Copy SEG.PR from your Appleworks 4 or 5 disk (version doesn't matter) to
your AppleWorks 3.0 disk
3. Boot AppleWorks 3.0 and go into Standard Settings, Printer Options
4. Select Add a Printer
5. Select the DeskJet Portrait and Landscape Printers from the list of
printers.

You' ll have the DeskJet's beautiful CG Times Font at Proportional-1, and all
the other features of AppleWorks' 4 and 5 DeskJet driver - in AppleWorks 3.0.
I hope you enjoy it.
