     Changing OS frequently leads to glitches-- ask any Windows user.

     Technically, comp.sys.apple2 is an Apple II newsgroup. The Apple II
(II+, IIe, //c, //c+, IIgs) is the original Apple computer and it is
different from the Mac series.

     You are likely to find expert help on a Mac newsgroup. So; this
response is being cross-posted to comp.sys.mac.system. Good luck with
getting everything working under OS 8.5.
