Unfortunately, a few years back AOL stopped supporting Apple II's
by refusing to connect with their A2 software.  I doubt it would
have advanced the cause of TCP/IP connection in any event.  ;-(

Two related notes:  1) the Apple II libraries are still available on
AOL, if you GO to the magic keyword: 
     aol://4344:1264.a2main.10029531.514525857
and 2) I still have my Apple II disks for several versions of
"AppleLink-Personal Edition" which was AOL for several
years before there _was_ an AOL.  Now, those ought to be
collectors' items!   ;-)
