The 9 pin is digital RGB with 16 colors like the IIc version. You can get
a 15 pin version that will let you use an analog GS monitor but you only
get 8 colors and they register incorrectly ie...red is where blue is,
purple is where yellow is. The 8 bit II's used digital; the 16 bit II's
used analog.
