Apple Dot Matrix Printer

I have an Apple 9 pin dot matrix printer model number #A2M0059 (made
1983) which was used with my //e and would like to know if it can be
used on a PC 486, it has been suggest that an Epson driver driver will
do the trick but no luck yet, some text from windows test print but
nothing from any other programmes such as notepad, just rubbish. does
any one know of a suitable driver, driver setting and the SW switch
settings on the printer.

Also any suggestions on linking the //e to the pc would be appreciated.
