    I just pulled out the cable (Apple part: 590-202-B) that came 
with my ProFile controller card and it is indeed missing pin 7 on
both ends. I'd have to have another look at the card, but I recall 
it had too had pin 7 blocked off (there was a little bit of white
plastic filling in a pin on the DB25 connector).

    Unfortunately I have no ProFile HD to compare with, just the 
card and cable.
