I'm assuming you are talking about doing a PPP connection to your ISP
using Marinetti on an Apple IIgs.
I've heard of one other report of this happenning to someone but the
only advice I could really give them was to report the problem to
Richard Bennett, the author of Marinetti.
It seems to me that it is having a problem negotiating the PPP
options. This could be caused by your ISP mistakenly trying to do
CHAP negotiation instead of PAP. Marinetti currently does not support
CHAP to connect to you ISP.
The only thing I could suggest, other than reporting the problem to
Richard, is to try using the PPP.scripted link layer and see if that
helps. However, I really don't think this will make a difference for
you but it at least gives you something to do. :-)
