The iMac has only one USB bus, it has 2 ports on the one bus.

You can not daisy chain USB, you can only attach a USB device to a hub. If
a device appears to support daisy chaining, its because the device has an
embedded hub.

You can only have 126 so you'll have to have a very good imagination for
the 128. (The internal hub takes up one device.)

The processor is on a daugter board, not the motherboard. It'd be quite
easy to swap out, the problem would be the boot ROMs which are also on the
processor module.
